Beginning May 12, New Hartford Senior High School’s turf field and track will be closed for construction.
Work at the athletic stadium will include track resurfacing, steeplechase addition, jump pit improvements, lacrosse ball stop replacement, LED lighting upgrades, perimeter fencing upgrades, and drainage improvements.
The stadium will remain closed through the summer and is tentatively scheduled to reopen in mid-August after work is complete.
The work is part of Phase 1 of the Health, Energy and Academics Project, which was approved by voters in December 2021.
