The 2025-26 school budget vote is Tuesday, May 20. Below are budget facts, a look at what else is on the ballot and information about voting for residents.

Bus Purchasing Proposal
$700,000
If approved, the district would be authorized to purchase five new diesel school buses in order to maintain a safe and efficient bus fleet. The state will reimburse the district up to 61% of the cost of the new vehicles. Learn more about the bus purchasing proposition.
1 Open Seat on the BOE
Voters will elect one member to serve on the New Hartford Board of Education. Three candidates filed nominating petitions for one available seat: JP Kidwell, Shahida Dar, Brian Connery. (Candidates’ names are listed in ballot order.) Learn more about the candidates.

Who can vote?
In order to be legally qualified to vote, individuals must be:
- 18 years of age or older
- A United States citizen
- Registered to vote
- A resident of New Hartford Central School District for 30 days or more
