Congratulations to the New Hartford Senior High students who have received All-State honors from the New York State School Music Association. Pictured from left to right: James Cooper (alternate, Orchestra, Cello), Owen Eich (Symphony Orchestra, Trombone), Jacob Carey (Jazz Band, Alto Saxophone), Ethan Lin (String Orchestra, Violin), Zachary Ferguson (Symphonic Band, Bassoon), Subhaan Mian (alternate, Symphonic Band, Clarinet), and Leah Ingersoll (Mixed Chorus, Soprano I). Of the seven acclaimed students, five were selected outright, and two will serve as alternates for All-State Ensembles. In addition, Jacob Carey was accepted into three ensembles – Mixed Chorus (Tenor II), Symphonic Band (Alto Saxophone), and Jazz Band (Alto Saxophone) – a first for New Hartford, and truly an outstanding achievement! The students will have the honor of representing New Hartford at the NYSSMA Winter Conference in Rochester, December 3-6.
