New Hartford Pride: Alexandria French Appointed to West Point
We are incredibly proud to celebrate a historic milestone for one of our own. New Hartford student Alexandria French has received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, marking a monumental achievement for both Alexandria and our entire school community.
A Premier Distinction
Alexandria’s path to the Academy is marked by an exceptional level of merit. Out of a highly competitive pool of applicants, she was selected as Congressman Mannion’s Principal Nominee, the highest recommendation a candidate can receive from their congressional representative.
The road to West Point is famously rigorous:
- Selective Admissions: Approximately 13,000 students apply annually.
- Elite Cohort: Only about 1,200 applicants are accepted into the incoming class.
