Observance of Jewish and Muslim holidays during the 2023-24 school year

The New Hartford Central School District remains dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels valued.

Please note that the district acknowledges the following holidays:

  • Rosh Hashanah

  • Yom Kippur

  • Eid al-Fitr

In observance of Rosh Hashanah, there will be no after-school activities Friday, Sept. 15, 2023. Practices, concerts, athletic contests, picture days, field trips, new instruction and assigned projects will not be permitted Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 and Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023.

In observance of Yom Kippur, there will be no after-school activities Monday, Sept. 25, 2023 and practices, concerts, athletic contests, picture days, field trips, new instruction and assigned projects will not be permitted Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023 and Monday, Sept. 25, 2023.

In observance of Eid al-Fitr, there will be no after-school activities Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Practices, concerts, athletic contests, picture days, field trips, new instruction and assigned projects will not be permitted Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
