Senior students earn New York State Seal of Biliteracy

A group of New Hartford seniors earned the New York State Seal of Biliteracy for the 2022-23 school year.

The students were recognized at a ceremony on May 15, where they shared an overview of their projects.

The NYS Seal of Biliteracy is awarded to students who maintain a high level of proficiency in two or more languages by the time they graduate high school.

Students can earn the award in both World Languages and English. In New Hartford, all 13 students, plus one pending, earned the seal in two languages. The second languages this year include French, Latin, Mandarin and Spanish.
