For the 2021-2022 school tax collection, the New Hartford Central School District will be offering a new online payment option in addition to traditional mail-in payments.
As local banks are no longer allowing in-person, teller payments for school tax collection, the District will accept credit card and eCheck payments online at egov.basgov.com/newhartfordcentralschool.
For eCheck payments of up to $50,000, a fee of $1.75 will be applied; and for eCheck payments of up to $75,000, a fee of $3.00 will be applied.
For all credit card (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, etc.) payments, a fee of 2.45% of the payment amount will be applied. For Visa DEBIT CARD payments, a flat fee of $3.95 will be applied.
All fees, as stated above, will be incurred by the taxpayer.
In addition, taxpayers will have the option to print a receipt for their records once their online payment has been submitted via the website.
The district will also continue to accept mail-in payments made to its M&T Bank lockbox in Buffalo. Mail-in payments should be addressed to PO Box 910, Buffalo NY, 14240.
