On May 24, the Bradley Elementary 5th and 6th grade orchestra earned the highest achievable rating at the New York State School Music Association's (NYSSMA) Major Organization Festival held at Holland Patent High School. 

NYSSMA's intention behind this festival is to provide teachers and students with an objective evaluation of their musical performance by trained master teachers and professional adjudicators.

The orchestra, under the direction of Mrs. Sara Picente, earned a rating of "Gold with Distinction" for their three Level I musical selections, which were selected by the students.

This rating, achieved by the Bradley Elementary orchestra for the first time, is bestowed upon ensembles for demonstrating an exceptionally outstanding level of technical and artistic skill in all three pieces performed.
