Intro to Latin
Welcome to Intro to Latin, which is the first half of Latin 1, and will be completed when Latin 1 has been completed. This year we will begin the process of learning how to read, listen, speak and write in Latin. We will also be learning about the mythology, culture and history of the Roman people. Our objective is to be able to understand spoken and written Latin. The best way to accomplish this is to read, read, read and read some more. We are going to be reading a lot of stories from many different sources. Membership and participation in the National Junior Classical League

Aeneas Video from Latinalia 2012
This is the video compiled from submissions from all 6 schools involved in the yearly Latinalia (Latin-Day) at Syracuse University in March. Each school was assigned a portion of the story of Aeneas from the famous Roman story the Aeneid written by Vergil. This is an epic poem after the styles of the Illiud and Oddysey and about the same time period but from the perspective of Aeneas, a Trojan prince who escapes the Trojan War and looks for a new homeland and eventually founds the city that will be known as Rome. Each school was given a maximum of 5 minutes for their schools entry and could be done in any time period or style as long as the details from the Aeneid were correct. Enjoy!
