• School Social Work services address emotional, behavioral or situational difficulties that create obstacles to students’ learning.  At the Junior High a licensed, certified School Social Worker is available full time.  The Social Worker provides clinical assessment, school based counseling, skills training, group support and referral to community services for children and families.  Students may request support themselves or be referred by concerned parents, school staff, the Instructional Support Team or Committee on Special Education.

    Parents are always welcome to call or visit even if they just want to chat about the ups and downs of parenting teens. Use the links on the left to find out more about services and how to contact the School Social Worker.  Check out  ParentCONNECT for information about a new way to network with others
    to learn more about parenting.

    "What is success?

    To laugh often and much;

    To win the respect of intelligent people and the

    affection of children;

    To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;

    To appreciate the beauty;

     To find the best in others;

    To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch

    Or a redeemed social condition;

    To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived;

    This is to have succeeded."

    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803 - 1882)
