This year I will begin my 10th year teaching mathematics. I grew up locally in Sauquoit, graduated from New York Mills High School, and currently reside in Sauquoit with my two children.
Over the past nine years, I have taught a full range of courses including Integrated Algebra, Algebra A, Algebra B, Common Core Algebra, Applied Geometry, and Common Core Geometry. While completing my Bachelors in Mathematics Education at the State University of New York at Oneonta, I had the privilege of student teaching at both Perry Junior High, and the New Hartford High School. Upon completing this degree I went on to teach at Frankfort-Schuyler High School for one year, and then relocated to New York Mills Union Free School District where I taught for six years. During this time, I completed a Masters of Education degree in Learning and Technology.
In my classroom you will see a student-centered environment, where progress is embraced, effort valued, and high academic standards are set to ensure each student maximizes their potential in mathematics. As a passionate and experienced educator, I will provide a dynamic, stimulating, and meaningful learning experience for the students at Perry Junior High School, by fostering an environment which will develop life-long learners with an appreciation for mathematics. I am thrilled to be a part of the tradition of excellence that New Hartford maintains.
