College Scholarships

  • ATLAS Scholarship

    Two scholarships of $250 each will be awarded annually to students graduating from one of these school districts: Balldwinsville, East-Syracuse-Minoa, Fayetteville-Manlius, Hamilton, Liverpool, or New Hartford. To apply students must complete the necessary requirements and submit their application to Mrs. Finlayson by April 1st of each year. The recipients will be announced in early May. See Mrs. Finlayson with any questions.
  • National Junior Classical League Scholarships

     This organization offers thirty two different scholarships, which members may be eligible to apply for:

    • NJCL Scholarships (eleven) between $1200-$2500
    • NJCL Latin Honor Society Scholarship (have to have a local chapter to be eligible) $2000
    • National Latin Exam Scholarships (twenty) $1000 (must have taken the National Latin Exam and performed extremely well)

  • THE TERRY WALKER SCHOLARSHIP
    This scholarship is available through CAES (Classical Association of the Empire State). The Terry Walker Scholarship is awarded to a New York State high school graduate or to a student currently enrolled in a university or college in New York State, who has completed at least the sophomore year in college. Preference is given to a student who is preparing to teach Latin on the elementary or secondary level. Up to $1000 is awarded as a one-year grant. A previous recipient may reapply. The application and all supporting material must be received by MAY 1.
