It’s a privilege to be able to bear witness to someone’s story when they may not have had the chance to tell it before.

For the past 24 years, I have had the privilege of being a school social worker. I received both my Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work through Syracuse University. Go Orange! I began my career as a therapist in the school-based program, Partners in Prevention (PIP) that was coordinated by Madison Oneida BOCES and Liberty Resources. Through PIP, I worked at the elementary level in the Stockbridge Valley CSD, Morrisville Eaton CSD, Hamilton CSD and Oneida City School District. Beginning in September of 2002, I spent seven years as a Middle School Social Worker and then two additional years as an Elementary School Social Worker for the Vernon Verona Sherrill School District. In 2009, I made one of the best decisions of my life and accepted a position with the New Hartford Central School District as the High School Social Worker.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have provided individual and family therapy through both Kids Oneida, Catholic Charities and as a private practitioner with Maria Horan and Associates.

I currently serve as a Board Member and treasurer to the New York State School Social Workers' Association.

I live with my family, Jim and our daughters, Paige and Emma. Paige graduated from Hamilton College in 2017 with a degree in Economics and Emma is currently a Junior at St. Lawrence University. Our home is pretty much run by our two dogs, Calli and Ava :-)
