• Mrs. Spatuzzi Welcome to Camp Spatuzzi! I am excited about being your child's tour guide throughout this exciting first year of school.  In case you are wondering about me, I originally went to school to become a pilot.  I learned quickly though that I am better off with both feet on the ground! In 2002, I graduated from St. John Fisher and then received my master's from SUNY Geneseo a year later. I began teaching in the Rochester area, but have been here in New Hartford for fifteen years. In nineteen years, I have taught every elementary grade except fifth.  It is in Kindergarten though that I am excited about finding a home.  The joy in a child's eye when they read their first book or find themselves in an "aha moment" reminds me of why I became a teacher. I want to experience these moments for years to come!

When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband, Mark, and I are quickly approaching our nineteenth anniversary.  I can't believe how quickly time flies.  We have three amazing boys.  Nathan is 13 and will be in eighth grade this year.  Andrew is a very active twelve-year-old who keeps me on my toes and will be in seventh grade. Matthew, our latest addition, is growing up so fast.  He will be eighth in November and is in second grade here at Hughes. Our boys keep us busy with hockey, skiing, football, golf, swimming and anything they can think of in the great outdoors.   I'm sure you will hear more about my family this school year.

I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your child to school in September!
