Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Fox

I have been a Mathematics Teacher at New Hartford High School since September of 2012.  I currently teach Geometry Prep, Integrated Algebra, and a new Financial Algebra Course.  I have 5 years of previous teaching experience before coming to New Hartford.
I graduated from Adirondack Central High School in 2002 and currently reside in Boonville, NY.  After High School I went to SUNY Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, NY to complete my college education.  In May 2006 I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Adolescence Education and in May 2007 I graduated with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I also have my Driver's Education Certification from SUNY Oswego and my Grades 5-9 Professional Teaching Extension Certification from The College of Saint Rose.  While at SUNY Plattsburgh I was an Resident Assistant for three years and participated in many community service activities throughout my college career.  In September 2007 I began my teaching career at Mohawk Central School District.  I worked there until June 2009.  For the 2009-2010 school year I did a full year long-term substitute position at New Hartford High School.  From 2010-2012 I did long term substitute positions at Clinton Central Middle School and Whitesboro Middle School, and substituted and tutored at Adirondack Central School.  I also am an Adjunct Lecturer at Mohawk Valley Community College teaching one entry level Mathematics Course each semester.  I am extremely excited to be continuing my teaching career at New Hartford Central School and am looking forward to the coming school years.
In my free time I enjoy camping, biking, hiking, cooking, baking, crafts, running, and have taken up an interest in completing Mud Runs.  My first Mud Run was the Warrior Dash in August 2012 and have done 4 more since that time.  I completed my first marathon in June 2013 and am looking forward to my many other running adventures in the future.  My family and friends are my life and enjoy every minute spent with them.
