Mrs. Kelly Paul

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Kelly Paul

Hello!  My name is Kelly Paul, and I am thrilled to teach 7th and 8th grade English at New Hartford Central School.  This is my 27th year of teaching, and I absolutely love what I do. It truly is a privilege and honor to work with New Hartford families and community members.

I am originally from Sherrill, NY, which is where many of my family members still live.  I graduated from VVS (I was Kelly Burns), and then graduated from SUNY Oswego. In 2007 our family moved to New Hartford after living in Ilion (my husband, Eric's, hometown)for many years. Our two wonderful daughters, Madelynn and Christina, keep us quite busy. Madelynn just graduated from Boston College...GO EAGLES,  and Christina is a sophomore at Boston University where she is part of the women's lightweight rowing team...GO Terriers.

In addition, we have an 11 year old golden retriever, Oakley, who has been a part of our family since July 4th of 2007. Oakley is famous for loving anyone who will pet him or sneak him snacks. Christina prefers that we don't refer to him as "our dog," as she's convinced he's really a human in disguise.

As you might imagine, I love reading and talking about books. My favorite place is the library, and my idea of a perfect day is being curled up with a good book. The novels we read in class are some of my all time favorites, and the fact that I get to reread them each year is one of the millions of reasons why I love teaching English.
In closing, I look forward to a fabulous school year with you. Thank you, in advance, for your hard work and effort.  Together, we will make sure that 2018-19 is a year you won't soon forget!
