A little bit about me....
I grew up in a town outside of Albany, NY. After graduating from Averill Park High School, I attended and graduated from William Smith College (Geneva, NY) with a degree in Psychology and certification to teach Elementary and Special Education. I received my Master's Degree in Literacy from SUNY Cortland. I began teaching at Myles School in September 2002, but I taught in another school district before that. My experience includes teaching resource room, second grade, AIS Reading, and first grade. I began teaching fourth grade during the 2006-2007 school year.
I live in Whitesboro with my husband and my two children- a daughter and a son. My kids' activities keep us very busy! My daughter is on the cross country running team in the fall, the nordic skiing team in the winter, and the girls' lacrosse team in the spring. My son plays hockey fall through spring, and also plays spring/summer lacrosse.
My favorite things include being with my family, taking care of my flower and vegetable gardens, reading magazines and fiction books, taking walks, and listening/singing along to music. I love animals and working on big and small projects.
