WATERCOLOR WORKSHOP

TECHNOLOGY
Creating with a Laser - Create your own personalized items

During this hands-on class, you will learn the basics of engraving and cutting using a state of the art laser engraver. Learn how to utilize simple computer graphics to design to create your own personalized items at your own pace. Sample projects could include personalized glassware, fabric, plastic, wood, leather, or tile. Personalize something you already have, or create something new. Basic computer skills are helpful. Session 1: Getting familiar with the machine and software, session 2 & 3, develop, design and create projects of your choice.

"A TOUR OF CHINA'S CULTURAL DELIGHTS"
April 29, 2010

Have you ever wanted to go to China but never had the chance? Would you like a first hand account of hiking the Great Wall, viewing thousands of life-sized Terra Cotta Warriors and touring the Three Gorges Dam Project? Ann Slattery (Perry Jr. High counselor) traveled to China last summer for 17 days. She toured Shanghai, Wuhan, Beijing, Xian, Chongqing, and spent 10 days cruising upthe Yangtze River. Come spend an hour immersed in another culture, viewing photos and artifacts from this trip. Free admission.

  • One Registration for per person.
  • Registration for non-residents of the school district will be accepted as long as vacancies exists.
  • All courses are subject to cancellation due to insufficient enrollment.
  • Classes begin the week of Monday, January 25th, unless otherwise noted.
  • Cancellation of classes due to inclement weather will be announced over the local radio stations.
  • NO CLASSES on the following dates: February15-19, April 2-5, April 19-23
  • Students should assume that all mail registrations have been accepted unless otherwise notified by the director of community education.
  • Refunds only through the second class of any activity.
  • Adults only.
