Over the course of the seven years our students spend at E. R. Hughes they learn a great deal about library organization, literature and information literacy.
Each new year brings new topics, while the previous years topics are reviewed and built upon. For the 1st four years of their elementary school years students visit the library once each cycle to learn library basics. The final three years are spent applying their library knowledge through a series of assignments and projects developed by the Classroom Teacher and the Librarian.
