Library Rules:
1. Keep your hands, feet, and other objects to yourself. 2. Always show respect for the library, your peers, and your teachers. 3. Allow other people to work and learn. 4. Always practice safety. Consequences: 1. A verbal warning 2. Time-out 3. Loss of Library privileges for the day 4. Visit to the Principal and contact parents Procedures For Library Class: 1. Enter the library quietly. 2. Wait to be greeted and take your assigned seat. 3. In a bathroom emergency take the bathroom pass and use the bathroom in the Nurse’s Office. 4. In case of a Fire Drill quietly line up in two lines at the outside doors in the library. 5. Stay seated until dismissed at the end of class. Procedures for Book Check Out: 1. Speak in whispers. 2. You may have two books out at a time. 3. Take a shelf marker. 4. Place the shelf marker on the shelf next to the book you want to look at and take the book off the shelf. 5. If you do not want to check out the book, return it to the shelf where the shelf marker is and take the shelf marker out. 6. If you do want the book take it and the shelf marker to the circulation desk and CHECK OUT. 7. Put the shelf marker back in the bucket and take a bookmark. 8. Return to your seat and color your bookmark or read your book. Procedures for Book Return: 1. Return books at the beginning of the day. 2. Put all returned books in the Return Bin. 3. Books must be returned two weeks after they are checked out. 4. If you have two books checked out you must return one to get a new one. Procedures for playing The Mystery Game: 1. Check out books BEFORE playing the game. 2. Read the clue and figure out what it is telling you. 3. RESEARCH to find the answer. 4. Fill out ONE guess per week. 5. If your name is announced as the winner, report to the Library to receive your prize. |
